Typically I’m not fond of shadows falling onto birds in my photos but I’m rethinking this one.

I’m no landscape photographer but I sure enjoyed this view coming down the mountain every morning.

Except I’m going to reverse the order to “The Ugly, The Bad and the Good” for this blog post. We might as well end on a high note.

My first bird of this camping trip and man was it ever early in the trip!

Plus a sunrise double rainbow that I’m interpreting as a good omen.

This is about as close as I’ve ever been to this highly secretive species.

This little guy gave me quite a few interesting stretching poses at different angles.
