Do Hummingbirds Cast Pellets?

Yesterday morning I may have photographed a hummingbird casting tiny pellets. I’d never heard of such a thing in hummers.

They just like it for different reasons than most other birds.

Confusing to me anyway but then I’m often confused when it comes to molt and color variation in birds.

I have a low success rate with this kind of shot, especially with Mountain Bluebirds.

It isn’t easy to get a running bird sharp.

And the main reason birds show up in my garden? Amaranth.

Just because I like it.

A species I don’t get a lot of chances with.

And a lesson in paying attention to detail in my images.
