I simply can’t resist posting a couple of\u00a0more images of\u00a0 juvenile Burrowing Owls that were taken last week.<\/p>\n

It may look like this bird has lost its balance on the sage and is trying to regain it but I believe it was simply exercising its wings.\u00a0 It flapped and fluttered for quite a while – long enough for me to get several dozen images of the action (I saved 18 of them).<\/p>\n

I do wish there’d been a bit more light though.\u00a0 The sun ducked behind a cloud just as just as this youngster started flapping.\u00a0 Should’a heard Mia cussing\u00a0that cloud!\u00a0 As per\u00a0usual, I kept my cool and just\u00a0went with the flow.\u00a0\u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Actually, we’ve both been known to cuss clouds on occasion\u00a0but I’m much better at it than she is.\u00a0 She just doesn’t have my enthusiasm.\u00a0 Or originality…<\/p>\n
