But I think I was too close to the action so I guess I\u00a0didn&#8217;t save any of those images. This was another\u00a0photo I resurrected from my archives a couple of days ago &#8211; it was taken in February, 2009 and I&#8217;ve never posted it before.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Note: Due to all of our fires and smoke, multiple morning\u00a0doctor appointments that interfere with my shooting schedule\u00a0and the scarcity of birds right now I may be posting more images than usual\u00a0from my archives for a short while. Please bear with me.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This shot was taken soon after I learned that some folks had been baiting eagles and even harriers\u00a0with dead carp at Farmington so I made sure that the photographer I referred to as\u00a0the &#8220;master baiter&#8221; wasn&#8217;t there and after looking for evidence of baiting from anyone else\u00a0(which I became pretty good at spotting &#8211; there&#8217;s almost a science to it) I took some shots. The only readily available\u00a0food in the area was fish bones so for that and several other\u00a0reasons\u00a0I feel relatively confident that the eagles in the area weren&#8217;t baited, at least recently. But it&#8217;s a tough call and that&#8217;s why I mostly quit going to Farmington during eagle season.
