Most\u00a0winters around here they&#8217;re completely unapproachable but this year has been\u00a0different and I&#8217;ve\u00a0been able to get\u00a0close to them several times. Hopefully I&#8217;ll be able to post longer series of images\u00a0soon.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve\u00a0learned something interesting\u00a0about herpes zoster during this last nine days of shingles pain. If you go to the doctor and he\/she diagnoses you with shingles they don&#8217;t charge you for the office visit. Why? Because shingles\u00a0are &#8220;on the house&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Sorry about that! It&#8217;s a groaner I know but that\u00a0cheesy joke, told to me over the phone by\u00a0my daughter Shannon a few days ago, provided me with one of the few laughs I&#8217;ve had recently so I decided to share. Shannon knows her dad&#8217;s primitive\u00a0sense of humor\u00a0pretty well.<\/p>\n<p>Ron<\/p>\n<p><em>PS &#8211; At the last minute I decided to include the following photo as a &#8220;bonus shot&#8221;. The light was poor and some of\u00a0the whites don&#8217;t have much detail but I do\u00a0like the\u00a0seemingly choreographed\u00a0body postures\u00a0of the three\u00a0swans taking off\u00a0with their heads and necks sticking up in\u00a0perfectly spaced and positioned stacked layers.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>These days I appreciate anything that amuses
