1\/1600, f\/5.6, ISO 800, 500 f\/4, 1.4 tc\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\nThis female Mountain Bluebird had been flitting around in the brush all morning while\u00a0looking for cicadas to feed her brood.\u00a0 I didn’t have much\u00a0light for\u00a0the shot (I was surprised to get a catch light)\u00a0and there’s a lot going on in the background but for me\u00a0 the wing and tail\u00a0position and the somewhat\u00a0unusual angle of take-off helped to make up for it.<\/p>\n
I’m sure looking forward to spending more time with these birds up north this summer.<\/p>\n
