A quick trip report this morning. No birds but hopefully some images you’ll find interesting.<\/p>\n

This was the view out my camping trailer window yesterday morning at 6:20 near Torrey, Utah. It was so delightful watching\u00a0the sun rise on the red rocks that we almost forgot to go out looking for birds.<\/p>\n

Later in the day we decided to move to a more remote location on Boulder Mountain.\u00a0This is where we are right now as I type this post in the dark. The stars are incredible and I see no light from “civilization” from horizon to horizon.<\/p>\n

\"behuninHere’s a historic example of the modern “tiny house phenomenon” that is so popular now.\u00a0A man named Behunin built this tiny cabin near Fruita, Utah in 1882. I estimated its dimensions to be approximately 16′ x 14′.\u00a0 Behunin and his wife lived here with their 13 children (can you imagine!) before flooding eventually\u00a0forced them to move. The older girls slept in a wagon while the boys slept underneath it. And it gets COLD around here!<\/p>\n

Ok, we’re off to more adventures today. And hopefully a few more birds.<\/p>\n
