post of 11 November<\/a>.\u00a0 The bird had recently taken off from a power pole but enough time had passed so that it was in full flight with its legs tucked.\u00a0 I was happy to get the mountain in the background and\u00a0light on the head, tail and part of one wing but the shadows are deeper than I like and the bird could be slightly sharper.<\/p>\nIt’s not my best shot of a raptor in flight but hey, it’s my nemesis Golden Eagle and it’s better than most everything else I have of the species in flight so I decided to go with it.\u00a0 At least there aren’t any of those damned wires in the image this time…<\/p>\n
I think\u00a0I’m making some progress.\u00a0 The quest is half the fun but this one has been going on for a very long time…<\/p>\n
