{"id":2647,"date":"2011-08-29T16:04:57","date_gmt":"2011-08-29T22:04:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/featheredphotography.com\/blog\/?p=2647"},"modified":"2011-09-07T14:16:27","modified_gmt":"2011-09-07T20:16:27","slug":"a-license-to-bird","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/featheredphotography.com\/blog\/2011\/08\/29\/a-license-to-bird\/","title":{"rendered":"A License to Bird"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To\u00a0be perfectly honest I&#8217;ve always been slightly disdainful of personalized (vanity) license plates, at least for me.\u00a0\u00a0 I generally prefer relative anonymity,\u00a0partly because\u00a0my natural inclination is to avoid bringing attention to myself (so why am I blogging?&#8230;)\u00a0 Not to say that I don&#8217;t enjoy reading them\u00a0on other vehicles while driving and\u00a0I often have fun with the challenge of trying to figure out what some of them really mean.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Since I spend a lot of time photographing birds I occasionally run across &#8220;birder plates&#8221; in the windows for Mia and I to shoot from.\u00a0 So, if any of you birders or bird photographers spot my pickup at any of the local hotspots and if you have the inclination be sure to stop and say hello &#8211;\u00a0unless we have\u00a0our\u00a0lenses trained on a bird.\u00a0\u00a0If so, please drive on by and wait for next time!<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t take credit for the title of this post (which I like a lot).\u00a0 I saw it on <a href=\"http:\/\/richditch.com\/page88\/page88.html\" target=\"_blank\">Richard Ditch&#8217;s website <\/a>where he notes that it was originally used by Audubon Magazine for an article that featured Rich&#8217;s wonderful photo collection of\u00a0personalized birder plates from across the country.\u00a0 Check it out &#8211;
