\u00a01\/2500, f\/7.1, ISO 500, 500 f\/4, natural light, canvas added for composition<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\nThis hawk was attempting to gain altitude, thus the angled body with the wing raised high.\u00a0 I seldom get the wing held this high in my harrier images.\u00a0 This position gave me nice light under the wing which, when combined with the good detail (the\u00a0image hasn’t been cropped much),\u00a0highlights the differences in color and pattern\u00a0between the underwing coverts and the primary and secondary flight feathers – something I don’t often see this well-defined.<\/p>\n
I like seeing those kinds of details.<\/p>\n
