I’m often amused when I get unexpected, oddball images.<\/p>\n

Yesterday morning at Farmington Bay WMA I was intrigued by the possibilities when a Killdeer approached this tiny ‘island’ so I fired away, not knowing what I’d get. Because of the quirky reflection that includes only ‘his’ head and a small portion of his upper back, this turned out to be my favorite shot in the burst.<\/p>\n

I’m not sure how the island was able to block the reflection of all of the rest of the bird, including his tail, but I think that contributes to the oddball appeal of the image.<\/p>\n

Even the killdeer seemed to be intrigued by what was going on with his reflection, as he appeared to be watching what happened to it as it slowly became more complete as he walked toward the end of the island.<\/p>\n

Yes, I was amused. On slow mornings like yesterday, it doesn’t take much.<\/p>\n

PS – I almost went to Antelope Island yesterday instead of Farmington Bay. I’m glad I didn’t<\/a><\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n
