On Dec 14, 2021, going on two years ago, I used the following introduction for my blog post on that day<\/a><\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

“Tradition.<\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s becoming traditional for me to post a photo or two of Shannon when she makes a trip to Utah to visit her ol\u2019 dad, especially since her accident and resulting brain injury<\/a><\/span><\/span> six years ago when we very nearly lost her. So, at the risk of making Feathered Photography come across as a wannabe Facebook clone, I decided to continue the tradition today.<\/em><\/p>\n

After all, I get the impression that many of my readers have become emotionally invested to some degree in her progress and welfare so how could I not provide a pictorial update?”<\/em><\/p>\n

Well, Shannon and her husband Rick are here for the weekend and we spent much of yesterday catching up, reminiscing about the past, looking at old photos, talking on speakerphone to my grandson Ryan in Florida and to old friends that Shannon hasn’t seen in decades. And just wallowing in each other’s company.<\/p>\n

We were having so much fun I almost forgot to have photos taken to commemorate the occasion. Here we are, in my back yard just before sundown last night. Of course my eyes are half shut and I’m flashing my usual quarter-acre of forehead but at least I’m not wearing socks with my Birkenstocks. Shannon, as always, looks wonderful. Genes from her mother I guess.<\/p>\n

Followers of Feathered Photography have been along for the ride ever since Shannon’s accident so I had to share a photo.<\/p>\n

Back to birds soon, I hope.<\/p>\n
