This Black-necked Stilt at Bear River MBR had just taken off to participate in one of the stilt\/avocet confrontations that were occurring regularly because both species had young chicks they felt needed protecting. I got quite a few shots of this bird in flight (you’ve seen one of them before) but some of them were soft. This is one of the two or three I like best, in part because of what I perceive to be a 3D effect.<\/p>\n

Today’s post is truncated to some degree because a new ‘gremlin’ popped up last night in my new computer configuration that includes a new monitor. It’s pretty neat to be able to toggle from one computer to the other so easily and quickly but for some reason my newer computer is ‘stretching’ my images when I import them into WordPress. So this post is published from my older computer that I haven’t used in a very long time.<\/p>\n

I’m sure we’ll figure it out but in the meantime the process of posting to Feathered Photography is more than a little awkward and time consuming.<\/p>\n
