It didn&#8217;t take her long to respond to his calling by flying in, seemingly from out of nowhere, and landing within a few feet of him. Notice how much longer the bill of the female is than that of the male &#8211; a relatively easy way to distinguish the sexes of this species.<\/p>\n<p>After a short time with the curlews I left them to look for other birds. Ten minutes later I found the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff; text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/featheredphotography.com\/blog\/2023\/04\/16\/three-ospreys-and-my-first-of-year-swainsons-hawks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">three Ospreys<\/a><\/span><\/span> I posted photos of yesterday.
