Yesterday I posted a single photo from this series and told readers I’d post the rest of them as soon as I could. Black Friday was my first opportunity.
With Northern Harriers erratic flight comes with the territory so I’ve come to expect it but soon after this female took off yesterday morning she almost juked me out of my shoes.
I got this harrier series two days ago on the same morning I photographed the American Kestrel vs. Merlin fight. I also photographed two other kestrels and a Red-tailed Hawk that morning so it was a good day for raptor photography.
Normally I try to avoid posting photos of the same species to my blog on consecutive days but this series, taken yesterday morning at Farmington Bay WMA, called for an exception. The following four photos are consecutive shots in a burst without any skips.
Please do not pin my images on Pinterest, Tumblr or any other pinning site or social media or use them for anything else without my express permission (and that includes using them as models for paintings, drawings or tattoos etc.).
