Sometimes I think I focus on raptors too much and don’t give the songbirds their due. This little bundle of energy is my attempt at beginning to make amends.
Marsh Wrens don’t often sing on territory this time of year but they’re still fun to photograph on those rare occasions when they give you a relatively clear shot.
I’ve been waiting for the new edition of this book for a very long time. The second edition has been out of print for years and even used copies have been very difficult to come by.
The Marsh Wren is an inveterate singer, consequently every one of these wrens has its mouth open. I photographed each one (several are the same bird) two days ago at Bear River MBR.
