I’ve been looking for kingfishers in many areas for the last few months with no luck getting close enough but yesterday I finally found one that cooperated, if only for a for a few moments.
and so does the comedy of errors regarding my antibiotics. I deeply regret having to make a second post on this subject but it was either that or leave my readers in the dark about why I wasn’t posting today.
I thought this bird pulled off a pretty nifty trick but it happened so fast I didn’t even know it had occurred until I arrived home and looked at my photos.
Are you ready for a test of the speed of your reflexes? I’ve come up with what I hope my readers will find is a fun and interesting little experiment that will demonstrate how quick you have to be to photograph a small bird as it’s taking off. We’ll even see how I did with the same test.
Folks who dislike Brown Cowbirds for their habit of nest parasitism will likely appreciate this unique “revenge” of the American Goldfinch. We’ll get into that soon but first some goldfinch photos I took yesterday morning.
