Eight days ago at Bear River MBR I spent a big part of the morning watching aggressive interactions between pairs of Black-necked Stilts and American Avocets that were raising chicks.
Two days ago the behavior of male Red-winged Blackbirds at Farmington Bay WMA changed suddenly and dramatically. Compared to the day before it was almost like someone flipped a switch. (2 photos)
