Usually when I have a marmot in my viewfinder it just turns into a staring match without many interesting poses from the rodent. But this guy was a show off.
When viewers see in image in its “final” form they typically have no inkling of the various compositional versions of that image that may have been considered and rejected during processing.
I rarely appreciate “accidental” birds in my photos competing with the primary subject. But there are exceptions and it happened twice with this landing American White Pelican.
