Plus my worst bad habit as a photographer (I have other bad habits but most of them don’t involve photography).

My first time photographing a male of this species in flight. I had to cheat a little to get it the way I want it but I finally got the photo.

There’s many things I like about this shot and only one I don’t. A ratio that good doesn’t happen often enough with this bird photographer.

This is a pose I almost never get from a kestrel.

I’ve taken the low-road with this beautiful hawk and done some significant image manipulation in one version of the photo..

The intensity of the focus of Short-eared Owls on prey seems to be amplified by their large, brightly colored eyes.
