Some Recent Birds

Five photos, five species.

I haven’t been able to get any new harrier photos I like for a very long time but yesterday morning this one came through for me.

I found him again yesterday morning and this time he was already enjoying breakfast when I arrived.

Side light can be a challenge but sometimes nature comes to the rescue.

One takeoff shot and one flight shot. I think the takeoff posture I captured is pretty special, even if I did bugger it up.

The toms gave it their all but the hen seemed unimpressed.

Including interesting strategy, fighting and being just plain uncooperative.

I believe this shot from three days ago will become one of my favorite photos of the species.

A splash of color for a less than colorful bird and background.

And the reincarnation of Kevin the Wild Turkey. This time around they may call him Bruce.
