Yesterday morning was windy at Bear River MBR but it would take more than a little wind to curb the curiosity and enthusiasm of the many grebe chicks at the refuge. I saw Western Grebe, Clark’s Grebe and Pied-billed Grebe chicks but I had the most fun with Clark’s.
Birds are always my focus but I enjoy photographing critters of all types. Early this month I spent a week camping near the Continental Divide between Montana and Idaho and during that time I was able to photograph a variety of mammals, large and small.
If you visit Antelope Island to photograph birds this time of year your memory card will likely include more images of these three species than any other.
Recently I posted a single photo of this beautiful hawk. Some folks were so enthralled with the bird that they asked to see more so this morning I’m complying with that request.
