Thanks, Marty. Actually, midges don&#039;t bite or sting. But the huge dense clouds of them can be incredibly intimidating to folks who don&#039;t know that. The only problem I have with them is that when they&#039;re thick you can&#039;t shoot through them and get good photos. But I can live with that - I&#039;m glad to have them around.
