Sounds wonderful, Ron, and I love the photo – the sharp colors, as Diana mentioned, the great facial expression, and your sense of humor. I’m sure you’re having a blast, and what with your frozen pipes this morning, I’m guessing that knowing you’ll be in your warm home soon adds to the piquancy!
Beautiful image of a brautiful bird, who is very obviously telling you, “This is mine…all mine. If you want one, catch your own!”
How great to see a kestrel!!! Love weathered wood post….
When I saw the weather report and SNOW for the Montana and SD, I thought of you all, as well as a friend of my son-in-law who has bought a house in Montana and he and his wife are traveling to his new home today!!
Even though I don’t mind snow and always look forward to Spring, only a few of our leaves have turned so in my mind it is a tad early for snow.
Nice shot of a male Kestrel who doesn’t look too pleased he was interrupted from eating!
Have a great trip, sounds like you are!!

LOVE those colours. And the perch. And am glad (not only for selfish reasons) that you had a wonderful, wonderful trip.
Great shot! Love the expression on his face!!! Get home safe. Frozen pipes! Way too early for that to happen!!
